start by:

a) remove crankshaft pulley and vibration damper

1. Remove the crankshaft front seal, using tool group (A).

Install Crankshaft Front Seal

1. Install the crankshaft front seal, using tool group (A).

2. Put clean SAE 30 oil on the lip of the seal and on the crankshaft. Put the seal in position on the crankshaft with the spring edge of lip in the direction of the rear of the engine.

3. Hold the seal installer ring (1) and pusher plate (2) in position on the crankshaft. Install the bolt (3) and washer (4).

4. Tighten bolt (3) until pusher plate (2) makes contact with the end of the crankshaft.
