Differential Pressure Regulator

Usage:

Remove Differential Pressure Regulator

1. Remove line (1) from the differential pressure regulator (2).

2. Remove fastening nuts (3), and remove the differential pressure regulator (2).

Install Differential Pressure Regulator

1. Put 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound on the pilot diameter of the regulator and on the stud threads.

2. Put the regulator in position on the turbocharger, and install the fastening nuts.

3. Install line (1) on the regulator.

Disassemble Differential Pressure Regulator

start by:

a) remove differential pressure regulator

1. Remove the wire, seal and tag.

2. Remove the bolts (1) that hold the cover to the base.

3. Remove the cover (6), shims (10), spring (5), spacers (9) and gaskets (4).

4. Remove the nut (3) from valve.

5. Remove the diaphragm (8) from between the plate and retainer.

6. Remove valve (2) from the base (7).

Assemble Differential Pressure Regulator

1. Put the valve (1) in the base (3).

2. Install the diaphragm (2) between the plate and retainer. Put the diaphragm assembly on the valve and install the nut (4). Tighten the nut (4) to a torque of 110 ± 10 lb.in. (126 ± 12 cm.kg).

3. Install gaskets on both sides of the diaphragm.

4. Install the shims and spring in the cover. Install spacers (See altitude adjustment in DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE REGULATOR IN TESTING AND ADJUSTING).

5. Install the bolts that hold the cover to the base. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 55 ± 15 lb.in. (63 ± 17 cm.kg) and install the wire, tag and seal.
