Usage:
start by:
a) separation of governor from governor drive
1. Remove the seat retaining ring (1) and pin (2).
2. Remove seat (3), bolt (4), washers (5), and spring (6).
3. Remove the sleeve and bearing assembly from the cylinder and weight assembly.
4. Remove retaining ring (7) from sleeve (8).
5. Remove bearing (9) and races (10) from sleeve (8).
6. Remove valve (11) from piston (12).
7. Remove the retaining ring (13) that fastens the cylinder to the weight assembly.
8. Remove weight assembly (14).
9. Remove piston (12) and sleeve (15) from cylinder (16).
10. Remove the O-ring seal from sleeve (15).
11. Remove high idle adjustment screw (17).
12. Remove the shaft retaining bolt (19) and lock.
13. Remove the shaft (18) and lever assembly (20) from the governor housing.
Assemble Governor
1. Install the seal in the governor housing, with tool (A) so that lip of seal is toward the inside of the governor housing. Put clean oil on the lip of the seal.
2. Install the lever assembly (3) and shaft (1) into the governor housing. Install the retaining bolt (2).
3. Install the high idle adjustment screw in the governor housing.
4. Install O-ring seal (6) on sleeve (7).
5. Install piston (5) and sleeve (7) in cylinder (4).
6. Put the weight assembly (9) in position on the cylinder (10), and install retaining ring (8).
10. Install valve (12) in piston (13).
11. Install the bearing and bearing races on sleeve. Install retaining ring. Install the sleeve and bearing assembly (11) on valve (12).
12. Install the bolt (14) into the seat (15), and install the two washers and spring into the seat.
13. Put the seat assembly in position on the valve and install the retaining pin (17) and ring (16).
