Usage:
preparatory step:
a) remove turbocharger
1. Remove manifold extension (5) and regulator assembly (1) as a unit-weight 43 lbs. (20 kg).
2. Loosen the exhaust manifold water inlet line hose clamp (2).
3. Disconnect shunt line (4) from water temperature regulator housing and loosen clamp (6) on water bypass line.
4. Loosen the exhaust manifold to regulator base hose clamps (3).
5. Attach hoist to manifold. Remove manifold and water temperature regulator base mounting nuts (7).
6. Raise manifold and regulator base to clear mounting studs. Separate regulator base from manifold and remove manifold (8)-weight 75 lbs. (34 kg).
Install Exhaust Manifold
1. Coat the threads of the exhaust manifold retaining studs with 4S9416 or 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound.
2. Install manifold (1) and water temperature regulator base (2) on engine as a unit.
3. Install manifold and regulator base assembly retaining nuts.
4. Tighten the exhaust manifold to water temperature regulator base hose clamps.
5. Connect water temperature regulator shunt line and install clamps on water bypass line.
6. Tighten the exhaust manifold water inlet line hose clamps.
7. Install the manifold extension assembly and regulator assembly on the exhaust manifold.
