Engine Support

Usage:

Remove Engine Front Support

preparatory step:

a) remove vibration damper and crankshaft pulley

1. Remove the oil pan-to-front support assembly retaining bolts (1).

2. Loosen all of the remaining oil pan retaining bolts enough to provide clearance between oil pan and bottom of front support assembly.

3. Install spacers between the oil pan plate and the cylinder block at the front of block.

4. Support the front of engine with stand as shown.

5. Remove the front support assembly-to-cylinder block retaining bolts.

6. Install two 1/2"-13 NC eyebolts. Attach hoist and remove the front support assembly -weight 110 lbs. (50 kg).

Install Engine Front Support

1. Install a new front support assembly-to-cylinder block gasket. Trim the gasket flush with pan face of block.

NOTE: If oil pan gasket was damaged during removal of front support assembly, it will be necessary to remove the oil pan in order to replace entire oil pan gasket.

2. Lubricate the lip of crankshaft front seal with clean SAE 30 engine oil.

3. Position the front support assembly (1) on engine, and install block-to-support retaining bolts.

4. Remove spacers between pan and block.

5. Install the oil pan-to-front support assembly retaining bolts. Tighten remaining oil pan retaining bolts.

a) install vibration damper and crankshaft pulley
