Crankshaft Rear Seal

Usage:

Remove Crankshaft Rear Seal

preparatory step:

a) remove flywheel

1. Punch two holes in the crankshaft rear seal 180° apart.

2. Remove the crankshaft rear seal using puller group (A).

Install Crankshaft Rear Seal

1. Using tool setup (A), install the crankshaft rear seal as follows.

2. Install locator assembly (3) and three retaining bolts on the crankshaft.

3. Lubricate the lip of the seal and the crankshaft with clean SAE 30 engine oil. Coat the outside diameter of the seal with 8M8059 Loctite Sealant.

4. Install the seal over the seal pilot and position them on the locator assembly. Install the seal with the lip toward the front of the engine.

5. Install the seal installer ring (2) with the smaller outside diameter toward the seal.

6. Install the pusher plate (1) and nut. Tighten the nut until the large diameter of the seal installer ring comes in contact with the seal cage.

7. Remove tool setup (A).

a) install flywheel
