Damper & Pulley

Usage:

Remove Vibration Damper And Crankshaft Pulley

1. Remove the vibration damper guard (1).

2. Remove the two crankshaft pulley retaining bolts, lock and retainer.

3. Reinstall the retainer (2) and bolts with a suitable spacer (3) between end of crankshaft and the retainer. A 5/8" nut may be used as a spacer.

NOTE: Nut or spacer may be taped to retainer for ease of installation.

4. Install tool setup (A) as follows:

a. Position the adapter plate (4) on pulley, and install the six mounting bolts.

b. Install the remainder of tool setup (A).

5. Using tool setup (A), separate the pulley and damper from the crankshaft. Remove the tool setup.

6. Remove the pulley retainer, mounting bolts, and pulley-weight 70 lbs. (22,63 kg).

7. Remove vibration damper locks and bolts. Remove damper from pulley.

Install Vibration Damper And Crankshaft Pulley

1. Position the vibration damper on pulley, and install damper mounting bolts.

2. Position the pulley and damper on crankshaft, and install the retainer, lock, and retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to 150 ± 10 lb. ft. (20,7 ± 1,4 mkg). Tap on bolts with a hammer, and retighten bolts to 150 ± 10 lb. ft. (20,7 ± 1,4 mkg).

3. Install the vibration damper guard.
