Assemble Jacket Water Pump

1. Install the bearings and spacer on the water pump shaft.

2. Install bearing and shaft assembly in the bearing cage. Install the bearing retaining ring.

3. Wrap a thin sheet of plastic or metal (1) around the water pump shaft. Lubricate the lip of the seal with clean SAE 30 engine oil. Slide the seal (2) over the shaft with lip of seal facing toward the bearing. Press the seal into the bearing cage using tool setup (A).

4. Using tool setup (A) install the water pump seal assembly (3).
