Precombustion Chambers

Usage:

Remove Precombustion Chambers

start by:

a) remove fuel injection valves

b) remove glow plugs

1. Remove the coolant from cylinder block.

2. Install wrench (A) and remove the precombustion chamber (1) from cylinder head.

3. Remove the gasket and O-ring seal from precombustion chamber.

Install Precombustion Chambers

1. Put 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of precombustion chamber.

2. Install the O-ring seal on chamber. Put liquid soap on the O-ring seal and in bore of cylinder head.

3. Install the precombustion chamber in cylinder head with the thinnest gasket (5M2667). Tighten the precombustion chamber to 150 ± 10 lb.ft. (20.7 ± 1.4 mkg) using wrench (A).

4. The opening for the glow plug must be in the "CORRECT RANGE" as shown after the chamber has been tightened. If the glow plug opening is not within the "CORRECT RANGE", remove the chamber.

5. Install the precombustion chamber with the correct gasket shown below:

6. Fill the cooling system with coolant.

end by:

a) install glow plugs

b) install fuel injection valves
