1674 DIESEL TRUCK ENGINE Caterpillar

start by:

a) remove valve cover

1. Remove the inner fuel injection line (1).

2. Remove the nut (2) from injection valve.

3. Remove the fuel injection valve from precombustion chamber.

4. Remove the nozzle assembly (4) from body (3).

Install Fuel Injection Valves

1. Install the nozzle assembly (1) finger tight on body (2).

2. Put the fuel injection valve in position in precombustion chamber.

3. Install the tighten nut (3) to 55 ± 5 lb.ft. (7.6 ± 0.7 mkg).

4. Install the inner fuel injection line. Tighten the nuts to 30 ± 5 lb.ft. (4.1 ± 0.7 mkg).
