Vibration Damper And Crankshaft Hub

Usage:

Remove Vibration Damper And Crankshaft Hub

start by:

a) remove fan

1. Remove the drive belts for the alternator and the fan.

2. Remove the six bolts and pulley (1).

3. Remove the six bolts (3) that hold vibration damper to crankshaft hub.

4. Remove vibration damper (4).

5. Remove the two bolts (2), lock, and plate.

6. Put tape on plate (6) and install drive plate (5), plate (6), and bolts on crankshaft.

7. Install the remainder of tool setup (A) on the crankshaft as shown.

8. Use a suitable hydraulic pump and tool setup (A) to loosen the crankshaft hub from the crankshaft.

9. Remove tool setup (A) and crankshaft hub (7).

Install Vibration Damper And Crankshaft Hub

1. Remove all dirt, grease, or oil from inside diameter of crankshaft hub and contacting surface of crankshaft.

2. Put crankshaft hub (1) in position on the crankshaft, and install the plate (2), lock, and bolts (3).

3. Tighten bolts (3) to 150 ± 20 lb.ft. (20.7 ± 2.8 mkg). Hit the heads of bolts with a hammer, and tighten the bolts again to the above torque.

4. Put the vibration damper (4) in position on crankshaft hub. Install the six bolts (5).

5. Put the pulley (6) in position on crankshaft hub, and install the six bolts (7).

6. Install the drive belts for the alternator and the fan. Tighten the belts to the tension given in the OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE.
