Usage:
start by:
a) remove cylinder head assembly
1. Use a straight blade scraper to loosen the spacer plate (1) from cylinder block.

2. Remove the spacer plate (1).
Install Spacer Plate
1. Thoroughly clean both sides of spacer plate and top surface of the cylinder block.
2. Install a spacer plate gasket, and put spacer plate (1) in position on cylinder block.

Make sure both surfaces of spacer plate and top surface of cylinder block are clean and dry before installing gasket and plate. Do not put gasket adhesives or any other substance on these surfaces. |
3. If the cylinder liners have not been removed, the cylinder liner projection must be checked. See INSTALL CYLINDER LINERS in DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY.
