Engine Front Support

Usage:

Remove Engine Front Support

1. Remove the bolts that hold support (3) to the frame.

2. Lift the front of engine until weight is off support (3).


NOTICE

Do not lift the engine from the bottom except at sides of oil pan.


3. Remove bolts (1), cap (2), shims, bushing, and support (3).

Install Engine Front Support

1. Put bushing (5) in position on support (4).

2. Install cap (2), original thickness of shims (3), and bolts (1).

3. Tighten bolts (1) to 150 ± 20 lb.ft. (20.7 ± 2.8 mkg).

4. Measure diameter (X) of front support. Measure the outside diameter of contacting surface of front cover on engine.

5. Remove the bolts (1), cap (2), and shims.

6. Put support (4) in position on frame, and install the two bolts.

7. Lower the engine down into position on support.

8. To find the correct thickness of shims, take the measurement of diameter (X) minus the measurement of diameter of front support. Use thickness of shims to get a -.003 to +.002 in. (-0.076 to +0.051 mm) fit between front support and front cover.

9. Install cap (2) with correct amount of shims. Install and tighten bolts (1) to 150 ± 20 lb.ft. (20.7 ± 2.8 mkg).
