Crankshaft Rear Seal And Wear Sleeve

Usage:

Remove Crankshaft Rear Seal And Wear Sleeve

start by:

a) remove flywheel

1. Remove the crankshaft rear seal using puller group (A).

2. If the wear sleeve needs to be removed, remove adapter (1). Remove the wear sleeve using a hammer and chisel.

Install Crankshaft Rear Seal And Wear Sleeve

1. Use tool setup (A) to install the wear sleeve as follows:

a) Put locator assembly (4) in position on the crankshaft, and install bolts (3).

b) Put wear sleeve (1) on locator assembly (4) bevel on sleeve toward rear of engine.

c) Put the wear sleeve installer ring (2) in pusher plate (6), and install the plate on locator assembly (4). Install nut (5).

d) Tighten the nut until pusher plate is against the locator assembly.

e) Remove the pusher plate (6), sleeve installer ring (2), and nut (5).

2. Install the adapter.

3. Install the crankshaft rear seal using tool setup (B) as follows:

a) Put clean oil on lip of seal. Put 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material on outside diameter of seal case.

b) Install seal pilot (8) on locator assembly (4) and against wear sleeve (1).

c) Put the seal in position on locator assembly and seal pilot with the lip of seal toward the front of engine.

d) Put seal installer ring (7) in pusher plate (6), and install pusher plate. Install the nut (5).

e) Tighten the nut until pusher plate is against the locator assembly. Remove tool setup.

a) install flywheel
