Hose Presses Can Now Be Used To Install JIC Couplings{0623,7554,0624}

Usage:

The 6V4657 and 6V4461 (JIC) Couplings can be installed on 19.05 mm (.750") diameter XT-3 Hose with the 7S1100 or 6V4900 Hose Press Arrangements. These couplings need different tools for installation and removal than the other 19.05 mm (.750") diameter XT-3 fittings. During service of these couplings do not push against the nut because this can damage the coupling or the tools. Push only against the face of the coupling. See the illustration.

Special Instructions Form SMHS6880-01 and SEHS7957-01 which are available for use with these hose presses do not give instructions for the installation of the JIC couplings. The charts that follow show the tools needed for each step of the installation procedure.
