Gas Pressure Regulator

Usage:

Remove Gas Pressure Regulator

1. Disconnect balance line (2) from regulator.

2. Remove gas inlet line clamp (1).

3. Remove mounting bolts (3) and remove gas pressure regulator.

Install Gas Pressure Regulator

1. Position regulator and install mounting bolts.

2. Install regulator outlet line clamp.

3. Connect balance line to the regulator.

Disassemble Gas Pressure Regulator

preparatory step:

a) remove gas pressure regulator

1. Remove regulator body (3) from regulator assembly (2).

2. Remove adjusting screw cover (1) from regulator assembly (2) and turn regulator adjusting screw counterclockwise to relieve spring tension on diaphragm.

3. Remove retaining screws (4) from regulator assembly (2).

4. Separate regulator assembly and remove spring (5).

5. Remove diaphragm (7) from lever (6).

6. Remove lever (6) and pin (9) from regulator assembly.

7. Remove valve assembly (8) from regulator assembly.

8. Remove flapper assembly retaining screws. Remove flapper assembly (10) from regulator assembly.

Assemble Gas Pressure Regulator

1. Install flapper assembly (1) in regulator assembly.

2. Position valve assembly (2), pin (4), and lever (3) in regulator assembly and install pin retaining screws.

3. Position spring (6) in regulator assembly (7).

4. Position diaphragm (10) to regulator assembly (8) with lever (5) engaged with slot (9) in diaphragm (10).

5. Position the two halves of the regulator assembly together and install the retaining bolts, nuts and lock washers.

NOTE: Make sure diaphragm is seated with mating surface of regulator assembly halves before tightening retaining bolts.

6. Set regulator adjusting screw (11). See LINE PRESSURE REGULATOR in TESTING AND ADJUSTING.

7. Install adjusting screw cover.

8. Position regulator body on regulator assembly and install retaining bolts.

a) install gas pressure regulator
