The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS53968" as the Part Number
and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

The existing dipstick bracket can fail on certain 559D, 579D, 2384D, and 2484D Knuckleboom Loaders. If the existing dipstick bracket fails, it may cause some slight noise caused by the broken pieces rubbing on themselves during engine operation. |

In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 5% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.

1. Remove the failed 515-1312 Bracket and all retaining hardware.
2. Install the new 351-9437 Bolt and 198-4776 Washer to secure the updated 572-6896 Plate Assembly (Dipstick Bracket) to the engine.
3. Once the new 572-6896 Plate Assembly (Dipstick Bracket) is installed, reinstall the existing tube clamp and its retaining hardware to secure the dipstick tube.
4. Tighten the bolts to a specified torque of 28 +/- 7 N.m (20 +/-5 ft/lbs) |
