Description of Change: A new muffler and its outlet pipe are used on IT18B Integrated Toolcarriers and 916 Loaders. The low idle speed has been raised from 850 to 925 rpm.
The new muffler is stronger than the former muffler. When used in combination with the new outlet pipe and the increased low idle, the possibility of the muffler cracking from vibrations is reduced.
Adaptable To: The new 7S8301 Muffler and the new 7W1611 Pipe can be installed directly in place of the former parts. Both new parts should be installed if the former muffler has cracked. At the same time, increase the low idle speed with the transmission in neutral.
