preparatory step:

a) remove front pulley and vibration damper

1. Using seal puller group (A), remove the crankshaft front seal.

Install Crankshaft Front Seal

1. Using tool (A), install the crankshaft front seal as follows.

2. Lubricate the lip of seal and the crankshaft with clean SAE 30 engine oil. Coat the outside diameter of seal with 8M8059 Loctite Sealant. Position the seal on crankshaft with lip of seal toward rear of engine.

3. Install the locator assembly (1) and two retaining screws.

4. Position the seal installer ring (2) on the locater assembly.

5. Install the pusher plate and nut (3). Tighten the nut until pusher plate becomes solid against the locator assembly.

6. Remove tool (A).
