In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 2% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer. |
Continue to monitor magnetic plug and take SOS samples as per OMM requirements. If SOS has high Fe and/or debris is on the plug take appropriate action. If the 178-8973 second reduction bearing assembly has failed, replace all 178-8973 Bearing Assemblies in the second reduction planetary carrier assembly with the 334-0229 Bearing Assemblies. The 359-4284 Planet Gear is to be used to replace only those gears that do not pass SEBF8193 Reusability Guidelines. Any gear that contains a failed bearing should be replaced.
Flushing of the differential and final drives to remove debris is required. The recommended target for cleanliness is ISO 18/15 or cleaner after any of the following activities: repair, rebuild and preventive maintenance.
