PROBLEM
The current grab arms are large and the inertia can cause the arms to go over center when the grapple is opened on certain HF201 Felling Heads. Also, the grab arm cylinders do not have a cushion on the open side. The hydraulic flow from the grab open section of the implement valve can be erratic and cause excessive flow to the grab cylinders. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect the date code on all 349-9334 Cylinder Groups from dealer parts stock. Remove all 349-9334 Cylinder Groups that have a date code prior to 06-07-2010. Any cylinder groups that have a date code later than 06-07-2010, place back into dealer parts stock for future use. Refer to Image 1. |

Install new grapple arms, cylinder and cap kit. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS4973, "Procedure In Order to Install New Grab Arms, Cylinders and Flow Limiter" for the rework procedure. |
