CP/CS-323 VIBRATORY COMPACTORS VEHICLE SYSTEMS Caterpillar

1. Remove six bolts (1) and grill (2).

2. Loosen muffler (3) and remove exhaust pipe (4).

3. Loosen hose clamp (5) and remove hose (6).

4. Disconnect wire connection (7) from each light.

5. Remove four bolts (8). With two people or a hoist, lift off the engine hood. The weight of the hood is 34 kg (75 lb).

6. Mark, disconnect and plug four hose assemblies (9).

NOTE: Use caution when removing bolts (10). If not supported, the oil cooler may fall.

7. Remove bolts (10) and the oil cooler.

NOTE: Install in reverse order.
