Temperature Sensor - Remove and Install - DPF Inlet, SCR Inlet

    Note: Mark the orientation of harness assembly (1) for assembly purposes.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (1). Cut any cable straps for this harness assembly.

  1. Remove DPF inlet temperature sensor (2). Cut any cable straps for the harness assembly.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (3)

  1. Remove clips (4) and remove SCR inlet temperature sensor (5)

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the DPF inlet temperature sensor (2) and SCR inlet temperature sensor (5) in the reverse order of removal.

    Note: Always replace the metal cable straps with a comparable cable strap. Do not use plastic cable straps.

    Note: Route harness assembly (1) in the original location to protect harness assembly from heat.

    1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of DPF inlet temperature sensor (2). Tighten DPF inlet temperature sensor (2) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).

    1. Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of SCR inlet temperature sensor (5). Tighten SCR inlet temperature sensor (5) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4lb ft)
