Engine Oil Coolers - Disassemble

Usage:

C280-16 R4M

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the engine oil coolers.


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and (3). Remove oil cooler core assembly (2) and the O-ring seals.

  2. Remove tube (4) and the O-ring seal. Remove elbow (5) and gasket (6). Remove bonnet (7) and gasket (8). Discard the gaskets.

  3. Repeat step 2 for the opposite end of oil cooler core assembly (2).

  4. Remove manifolds (9) and the O-ring seals. Remove housing (10).

  5. Remove bonnet (11) and gaskets (12). Discard the gaskets.

  6. Remove bolts (13). Remove bonnet and elbow assembly (14) . Remove and discard gasket (15).

  7. Remove bolts (16) and remove manifold assembly (17). Remove and discard gasket (18).

  8. Mark orientation of engine oil cooler cores (21) and brackets (19) for reassembly. Remove bolts (20) and brackets (19) and remove engine oil cooler cores (21).
