Introduction
This Special Instruction will provide information on the installation of 481-5592 Kit - Guard .
This Special Instruction is applicable to machines using the "standard configuration", "high lift configuration", or has the "Tunneling Arrangement Package".
Do not perform any procedure in this publication or order any parts until you understand the information that is contained in this publication.

Tilt Cylinder Guard Installation
Note: Use proper lifting device as necessary to support components during installation.
- Install support assembly (21) and clamp (18).
Note: The support assembly (21) must be installed perfectly horizontal.
Note: Torque bolts (15) to 1050 ± 150 N·m (774 ± 1111 lb ft).

- Install bracket assembly (25) .
Note: Apply Loctite 243 to bolts (9) and torque to 22 ± 3 N·m (16 ± 2 lb ft).

- Assemble guard assembly (26) before mounting on bearing (24). Refer to Illustration 3.
Note: If machine is installed with the auto lube configuration, refer to Illustration 4.
