Fuel Ratio Control

Usage:

Remove Marine Engine Fuel Ratio Control

1. Disconnect the fuel ratio control sensing line (2).

2. Cut and remove the lock wire seal.

3. Remove two mounting bolts (1). Pull out and down on the fuel ratio control to remove it from governor.

Install Marine Engine Fuel Ratio Control

1. Install the fuel ratio control making sure the plunger is engaged with the slot in rack stop collar on the governor.

2. Install the two mounting bolts.

3. Replace and install the lock wire seal.

4. Connect the sensing line to the fuel ratio control.

5. Adjust the fuel ratio control. See FUEL RATIO CONTROL SETTING in TESTING AND ADJUSTING.

Disassemble Marine Engine Fuel Ratio Control

preparatory step:

a) remove fuel ratio control

1. Remove two cover retaining bolts. Separate cover (1) and housing assembly (4). Remove spring (5) and (8).

2. Remove washer (2) from bolt (6). Turn bolt (6)_out of retainer assembly (3) and remove diaphragm (7) from retainer assembly.

Assemble Marine Engine Fuel Ratio Control

1. Place the diaphragm on the retainer assembly. Install the bolt in the retainer assembly and place the washer on the bolt.

2. Position the diaphragm assembly and the two springs in the housing assembly. Place the cover on the fuel ratio control and install cover retaining bolts.

NOTE: If the rubber diaphragm is damaged in any way, the fuel ratio control will not operate properly.

a) install fuel ratio control
