Usage:
1. Drain the oil filter housing.
2. Remove the four elbow mounting bolts (1).
3. Remove the four bypass valve mounting bolts (2) from the engine oil cooler.
4. Remove the oil cooler bypass valve.
Install Engine Oil Cooler Bypass Valve
1. Position the oil cooler bypass valve (1) on engine, and install mounting bolts.
2. Install the four elbow mounting bolts.
3. Check the oil level in crankcase and fill as necessary.
Disassemble Engine Oil Cooler Bypass Valve
preparatory step:
a) remove engine oil cooler bypass valve.
1. Remove the valve cover plate.
2. Remove the engine oil cooler bypass valve spring and plunger.
Assemble Engine Oil Cooler Bypass Valve
1. Clean all parts thoroughly before assembling valve.
2. Lubricate the plunger and bore in housing with clean SAE 30 engine oil.
3. Install the plunger and spring in housing.
4. Install the cover plate.
