Engine And Marine Gear Oil Coolers

Usage:

Remove Engine And Marine Gear Oil Coolers

preparatory step:

a) remove engine oil cooler bypass valve

1. Drain the cooling system. Drain the engine and marine gear oil coolers.

2. Disconnect oil lines from marine gear oil cooler.

3. Remove the four oil cooler water outlet line mounting bolts (1). Remove water outlet line (2).

4. Disconnect the turbocharger lubrication line (3) from oil cooler oil outlet line.

5. Remove the engine oil cooler oil outlet line (4).

6. Remove the water inlet elbow mounting bolts (5).

7. Install two 3/8" - 16NC forged eyebolts in top of oil cooler. Remove the seven mounting bolts and one nut. Remove the engine oil cooler and marine gear oil cooler as a unit - weight 100 lbs. (45 kg).

Install Engine And Marine Gear Oil Coolers

1. Attach a hoist and position the oil coolers on engine. Install the seven mounting bolts and nut.

2. Install the water inlet elbow mounting bolts.

3. Install the engine oil cooler oil outlet line.

4. Connect the turbocharger lubrication line to engine oil cooler oil outlet line.

5. Install the oil cooler water outlet line. Install water outlet line mounting bolts.

6. Connect the oil lines to marine gear oil cooler.

7. Fill the cooling system. Check the oil level in the engine crankcase and in the marine gear.

a) install engine oil cooler bypass valve
