Piston Cooling Jets
Usage:
Remove Piston Cooling Jets
preparatory step:
a) remove oil pan
1. Rotate the crankshaft clockwise (as viewed from the front of engine) until connecting rods are clear of the jet assembly to be removed.
NOTE: It will be necessary to remove the oil pump if the piston cooling jets for the No. 7 and No. 8 piston are to be removed.
2. Remove the retaining bolt and lock. Remove the piston cooling jet assembly (1).
Install Piston Cooling Jets
1. Position the jet assembly to the cylinder block and install retaining bolt and lock.
2. Tighten retaining bolt to 35 ± 5 lb. ft. (4,8 ± 0,7 mkg) and bend the lock.
