Sensor (Paddle) - Calibrate

Usage:

BG600D B6K

Personal injury can result from rotating and moving parts. Stay clear of all rotating and moving parts.

Never attempt adjustments while the machine is moving or the engine is running unless otherwise specified.

The machine must be parked on a level surface and the engine stopped.

Attach a "Do Not Operate" or similar warning tag to the start switch and controls before servicing, repairing, or making adjustments to the machine.

Calibration of Left Paddle Sensor

  1. Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

  1. Move propel lever (3) to the NEUTRAL position.

  1. Rotate speed dial (2) to the MINIMUM position.

  1. Move parking brake switch (1) to the ON position.

  1. Move screed lift switch (4) to the RAISE position. Completely lift the screed.

  1. Engage screed lock mechanism (5) on both sides of the machine.

  1. Move screed lift switch (4) to the FLOAT position.

    Note: The screed lift switch on the inactive instrument panel must also be in the FLOAT position in order to lower the screed.

  1. Move right screed extend switch (7) to the EXTEND position. Release the switch when the right screed extender is fully extended.

  1. Move left screed extend switch (6) to the EXTEND position. Release the switch when the left screed extender is fully extended.

  1. Move throttle control switch (8) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

  1. After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (9) to the OFF position.

  1. Move screed lift switch (4) to the HOLD position.

  1. Move engine start switch (9) to the ON position. Do not start the engine.

  1. Press home key (10) .

  1. Press down key (11) until "Service" is highlighted on the display screen.

  1. Press OK key (12) .

  1. Press down key (11) until "Calibrations" is highlighted on the display screen.

  1. Press OK key (12) .

  1. Press down key (11) until "Left Paddle Sensor" is highlighted on the display screen.

  1. Press OK key (12) .

  1. Press OK key (12) in order to begin the calibration.

  1. Hold left paddle (13) in the full OFF position at approximately 45 degrees. Press OK key (12) .

  1. Place left paddle (13) in the full ON position. This position should be straight down. Press OK key (12) .

  1. The display should now read "CALIBRATION COMPLETE". Push back key (14) in order to return to the calibration screen.

  1. Push home key (10) in order to exit the calibration screen.

  1. Move engine start switch (9) to the OFF position.

Calibration of Right Paddle Sensor

  1. Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

  1. Move left screed extend switch (6) to the EXTEND position. Release the switch when the left screed extender is fully extended.
