NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS45879" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The 192-5692 Steering Arm can crack on certain 797, 797B, and 797F Off-Highway Trucks. If the existing steering arm fails it can cause unplanned downtime. |

ACTION REQUIRED
The steering arm should be inspected using a mag particle inspection (wet or dry). Details on how to inspect the arm can be located in M0092961. If the results of the inspection do not meet the reusability as defined in M0092961, the steering arm should be replaced. To claim this program, the SIMSi entry must include: -NUMERALKOD of the both steering arms and location on machine (Left or Right) -Pictures of any cracks found during the inspection -Measurements of any cracks found during the inspection |

NOTE: If the inspection is performed by an outside supplier include the outside expenses at cost instead of claiming the labor. Attach a copy of all invoices for outside expenses to the SIMSi entry. If the inspection is being performed by a third party, $300 USD may be claimed per inspection. Both steering arms should be inspected. Inspection should be performed by a Level 1 or higher certified technician. NOTE: To claim this program, the SIMSi entry must include: -NUMERALKOD of the both steering arms and location on machine (Left or Right) -Pictures of any cracks found during the inspection -Measurements of any cracks found during the inspection |
