The existing gasket used to seal the receiver and sender plates to the diesel fuel tank does not meet the required material specifications. Extended exposure of this gasket to diesel fuel may cause the gasket to degrade, resulting in poor sealing and gasket debris accumulation in the fuel filter leading to engine performance loss. |
Remove all 142-8823 Gaskets from dealer parts stock. There is not a clear way to distinguish conforming versus non conforming 142-8823 Gaskets. It is recommended to remove all 142-8823 Gaskets and order new gaskets. |
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. |
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling. |
