When reporting the repair, use "PS45008" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

The swing side to side cycle time is not within the specified tolerance on certain 424B Backhoe Loaders. If the cycle time is not within the specified tolerance, it can result in complaints of machine control feel. |

SAFETY PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED: 1. Park the machine on the level ground. Refer to Image1.1.1. 2. Place the bucket parallel to the ground and keep the front tire touching the ground. Ensure both rear tire and stabilizer are on the ground and use safety stand. 3. The machine should be center positioned and be resting on the ground. 4. Turn off the engine. 5. Release the hydraulic system pressure and follow instructions before removal of spool as. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance manual, for your machine, for additional information. Refer to Image1.1.2. |

Disassembly Procedure: Before start disassembling ensure the valve is clean and free from contamination. |
1. Remove all screws from boot mounting plate. Refer to Image1.7.1. 2. Dismantle boot and push it to the upper end of the linkage. 3. Remove the bolts to remove console. 4. Remove bolts and dismantle the floor plate. |

5. Dismantle the linkage lock pin. Refer to Image1.8.1. 6. Dismantle the linkage connecting pin. 7. Disconnect the linkage rods from the spool tang on the spool that is to be replaced. 8. Remove the plate seal. This action will expose the upper spool seal that will need to be replaced after the replacement spool has been inserted. |

9. Remove screws (A) and spool cap (B) on the valve slice that requires the spool change. The spool spring pack will be exposed. Withdraw the spool assembly by pulling in a downward direction to extract. Ensure that the spool seal comes away with the spool. Refer to Image1.9.1. Note: There will be a small amount of oil loss as the spool is withdrawn from the valve body. Be ready with the replacement spool to insert back into the slice to complete the changeover. |

Tang/Clevis End Side (Seal Orientation View): Refer to Image1.11.1. (A) Install lip seal (C) by having the groove face of the seal towards the housing (counter bore) seal seat. Check for the proper installation of the seal. (B) Install wiper seal (D) by having the smaller diameter towards the tang clevis. (C) There is no orientation required for the plate seal (E). |

Assembly Procedure: Refer to Image1.12.1. Step 1. Install the lip seal. Check the seal for proper seating. Step 2. Install the wiper seal. Step 3. Install the plate seal. Step 4. Tighten the plate seal with screws partially (do not tight the screws fully. Use a 3/16 Allen Key. |

Valve Bottom/Cap End Side Assembly View (Cut Section): Refer to Image1.13.1. (A) Install the lip seal. The groove face of the seal should be towards the housing (counter bore) seal seat. Check for the proper installation of the seal. (B) Install the wiper seal. The smaller diameter should be towards the plate seal. (C) There is no orientation required for plate seal. |

Note: Do NOT over tighten the end mechanism tightening screw. Over tightening will create spool stickiness. Hand tight is enough. Refer to Image1.14.1. Step 1. Insert a new swing spool in the spool bore completely until the clevis on the other side is at the level of other spools. Fit it with the tang or with an Allen key in order to arrest the spool rotation while assembling the end mechanism. Before installation of spool, lubricate the spool with hydraulic oil. Step 2. Clean the housing lip seal groove and install a new lip seal and the existing wiper seal. Step 3. Install the existing plate seal at the outer diameter of spool. Step 4. Guide the spring seats with the spring and install it by guiding the spool outer diameter (cap end). Refer to Image1.14.1, Step 4. |

Step 5. Install the end mechanism screw. Refer to Image1.15.1, Step 5. Step 6. Tighten the end mechanism screw. Refer to Image1.15.1, Step 6. Step 7. Install cap over the end mechanism. Refer to Image1.15.1, Step 7. Step 8. Tighten the cap with screws (hand tight, use a 3/16 Allen key). Refer to Image1.15.1, Step 8. Step 9. Tighten the plate seal at clevis/tang side (hand tight is enough. Use a 3/16 Allen Key. Step 10. Check the linkage assembly. Install the floor plate, console, and boot. |

Key Note: After installation of the new spool kit, ensure that the machine is operated for 30 minutes and also ensure that there are no leaks in and around the valve bank and no stickiness during machine operation (swing section). |
