Venturi Tube - Remove and Install

Start By:

  1. Remove exhaust gas valve (NRS).

  1. Remove bolts (2) and position harness assembly (1) out of the way.

  2. Disconnect tube assembly (2) and remove bolt (3).

  3. Remove bolt (4), bolt (5), and bolts (6).

  4. Disconnect harness assembly (7) and position shield assembly (8) out of the way.

  5. Disconnect tube assembly (12).

  6. Remove bolts (9), bolts (10), and bolt (11). Position shield assembly (13) out of the way.

  7. Remove sensor (15).

  8. Remove clamp (14) and venturi tube (16).

    Note: Clamp (14) is one time use only, discard and replace with new clamp.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install venturi tube (16) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Lubricate the threads, bearing surfaces, and inside diameter of clamp (14) with Tooling (A) before assembly.

    2. Tighten clamp (14) to a torque of 12 ± 1 N·m (106 ± 9 lb in).

    3. Tighten sensor (15) to a torque of 10 ± 2 N·m (89 ± 18 lb in).
