Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove flywheel.

2. Remove rear engine supports.

3. Remove low-pressure turbocharger.

4. Remove engine oil filter base.

5. Remove auxiliary water pump.

6. Remove fuel injection pump.

7. Remove electric starting motor.

8. Remove camshaft gear.

9. Remove crankshaft rear seal.

1. Install Tooling (A) to flywheel housing (6) and attach suitable lifting device. The weight of flywheel housing (6) is approximately 181 kg (39 lb). Remove two bolts (1) and four bolts (2). Remove bolt (3). Remove ten bolts (4) and two bolts (5). Use suitable lifting device to remove flywheel housing (6).

Installation Procedure

1. Install flywheel housing (6) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten two bolts (5) to a torque of 63 ± 6 N·m (46 ± 4 lb ft).

   2. Tighten ten bolts (4) to a torque of 63 ± 6 N·m (46 ± 4 lb ft).

   3. Tighten bolt (3) to a torque of 63 ± 6 N·m (46 ± 4 lb ft).

   4. Tighten four bolts (2) to a torque of 63 ± 6 N·m (46 ± 4 lb ft).

   5. Tighten two bolts (1) to a torque of 63 ± 6 N·m (46 ± 4 lb ft).
