Conditions Which Generate This Code:

EID 1481 Operator Input Detected While in Autonomous Mode

Follow this procedure if an event EID 1481 Operator Input Detected While in Autonomous Mode occurs. When this event code is activated, the Autonomous Mining Truck (AMT) will come to a complete controlled stop. EID 1481 code is triggered when throttle, brake pedals, retarder lever, or other cab operator controls are activated while the AMT is functioning in autonomous mode. This activation can be the direct result of an operator being present in the cab or a fault in one of the operator controls This code can also be triggered as a result of the switch on the fly functionality, when the switch on the fly is not ready and the auto manual switch is in Manual. This code will also activate when a switch on the fly is performed by a driver in the cab.

Test Step 1. VERIFY THAT NO OPERATOR INPUTS WERE ACTIVATED BY TEST DRIVER IN THE AUTONOMOUS MINING TRUCK (AMT).

  1. EID 1481 may appear during commissioning. During commissioning drivers may take control from within the cab by doing a "Switch on the Fly" to Manual mode. Each time this event code will activate. In this situation, the code will remain active until the truck is stopped in Manual Mode.

  2. The driver in the cab may activate this code by moving the gear shift lever from neutral to some other state (switch on the fly "ready" to "not ready").

  3. EID 1481 code will also activate if the Switch on the Fly is "not ready" and cab mode switch goes to the Manual position. This is intended to warn the operator that switch on the fly is "not ready" and the truck will not go into Manual mode. The activation of this code causes the truck to come to a stop and will clear if cab mode switch is moved back to Auto position or Switch on the Fly is changed to "ready".

Note: EID 1481 should activate when any action is performed from the cab during autonomous operations as part of commissioning.

Expected Result:

No operator present in cab to cause faults.

Results:

  • OK - No operator present in the cab to cause faults. Proceed to Test Step 2

  • OK - Operator in cab caused faults. No action is required.

    STOP

  • NOT OK - Operator in cab unintentionally activated the fault.

Repair: Stop truck. Reset all levers and switches to the correct position and restart Autonomous run mode.

    STOP

Test Step 2. VERIFY THAT NO OBJECTS ARE PRESENT IN THE CAB THAT COULD BE CAUSING DISRUPTION TO THE PEDALS.

  1. Verify that no unsecured objects are moving around the cab causing disruption to the pedals. Anything that is unsecured could move to touch any pedals during operations (cans, manuals, or other such objects).

Expected Result:

No unsecured objects present in cab to cause faults.

Results:

  • OK - No unsecured objects present in the cab to cause faults.

Repair: Troubleshoot the braking system using System Operation Troubleshooting Test and Adjusting, UENR2210, "793F CMD Off-Highway Truck Braking System " Symptom Procedure section.

    STOP

  • NOT OK - Loose objects found.

Repair: Secure or remove loose objects.

    STOP
