EID 1484 Secondary Steering Automatic Test Required
Follow this procedure if an event EID 1484 Secondary Steering Automatic Test Required occurs. This code is activated when the autonomous mining truck (AMT) is switched from manual mode into autonomous mode and the Secondary steering test has not automatically run as scheduled. When this event code is activated, the AMT will no longer be allowed to function autonomously. Mode change will be allowed but autonomous operations will be prevented.
Note: Clear all Steering and Steering Selective Valve event and diagnostic codes prior to beginning this procedure.
Test Step 1. VERIFY NECESSARY CONDITIONS ARE MET TO RUN TEST.
- Ensure the AMT is in Manual mode.
- Straighten steering angles to near straight. Must be within ± 5 degrees of center.
- Once straightened, start the truck. Switch the mode to autonomous.
- Test should automatically run, once complete successfully, EID 1484 will automatically clear and autonomous operation will be allowed.
Expected Result:
Autonomous operation is allowed. EID 1484 clears.
Results:
- Autonomous operation is allowed. - STOP
- Autonomous operation is still blocked and EID is still active. The cause of the problem is uncertain. Contact Caterpillar technical support with the information that has been gathered. - STOP
