Alternator - Remove and Install
- Remove guard assembly (1) and guard assembly (2).
- Disconnect ground cable assembly (4) and positive cable assembly (3).

Illustration 2 g03730241 - Adjust the belt-tensioner (5) to reduce tension and remove belt (8).
- Remove bolts (7) and alternator (6).

- Install alternator (6) in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten ground cable assembly (4) bolt to a torque of
15 ± 1 N·m (133 ± 9 lb in) . - tighten positive cable assembly (3) nut to a torque of
10.8 ± 1 N·m (96 ± 9 lb in) .
- Tighten ground cable assembly (4) bolt to a torque of
