Emergency Power Off - Reset

Usage:

This procedure should be performed following either a Remote Emergency Power Off of the Uninterruptible Power Supply or local Emergency Power Off of the Uninterruptible Power Supply.

At the time of the Emergency Power Off, the K1 Circuit Breaker is open and an "EPO Activated" message will appear in the log file.

Note: If the message "K1 Over Current Shutdown Activated" error message appears in the logfile, perform the reset procedure. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "K1 Overcurrent Shutdown - Reset".

Personal injury or death can result from high voltage.

When power generation equipment must be in operation to make tests and/or adjustments, high voltage and current are present.

Improper test equipment can fail and present a high voltage shock hazard to its user.

Use electrical safety gloves when you are working in the cabinets.

Make sure the testing equipment is designed for and correctly operated for high voltage and current tests being made.

  1. Clear any Remote Emergency Power Off Switches and/or local Emergency Power Off Switches in order to allow operation.

  1. Reset the Emergency Power Off Circuit Breaker that is located behind the door on the left side of the Controls Cabinet.

    For the location of the Emergency Power Off Circuit Breaker Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "EPO/EMO Reset Switch".

    Note: If no power is on the system, reset the Emergency Power Off before applying power.

  1. Log in to the system via the Graphical User Interface or UPS View.

  1. Command the Uninterruptible Power Supply to enter the Bypass Mode.

  1. Acknowledge faults on the Graphical User Interface on the Uninterruptible Power Supply.

  1. Command the Uninterruptible Power Supply to enter the On-line mode.
