Log File - Retrieve

Usage:

  • Connect a PC.

    Refer to the method that was used in the Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "Personal Computer to UPS Connection".

    1. Open UPS View.

    1. Connect to the UPS.

      Refer to Step 6.a through Step 6.b.

      1. On the Menu, click on "Connection".

      1. In the "Connection" menu, click on "Connect in UPS View".

    1. Increment the log file.

      Refer to Step 4.a through Step 4.b.

      1. On the Menu, click on "File".

      1. In the "File" menu, click on "Increment Log Files in UPS View".

    1. Type the "CTRL" and the "d" key simultaneously in order to dump the log file.

    1. Disconnect UPS View.

      Refer to Step 6.a through Step 6.b.

      When the dump is finished, there will be a log file in the log file directory. Typically, the log file directory is in the following location:

      C:\Program Files\UPS_View\Logs

      Refer to the following information for the format for the filename:

      UPSName-Date_tlog_Number.txt

      MainUPS-12-2_tlog_003.txt

      1. On the Menu, click on "Connection".

      1. In the "Connection" menu, click on "Disconnect in UPS View".
