Bulldozer Control Valve - Assemble

Usage:

Assembly Procedure

  1. Clean all parts and inspect all parts. Replace the parts that are damaged or worn. Put clean hydraulic oil on the parts of the bulldozer control valve. Put clean hydraulic oil in all bores of the valve body.

  1. Replace the O-ring seals on plugs (1), if necessary.

    Note: Use a 1/4 inch -20 threaded rod to install valve assembly (2) in the control valve body.

  1. Install valve assembly (2), spacer (3) and plug (4) on the control valve body.

  1. Install stem (5) in the original location on the valve body.

  1. Install the O-ring (8) on plug (9). Install piston (7) and plug (9) on housing (6) .

  1. Install nut (11) on plunger (10) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (15) on housing (16). Install retainer (12), spring (13), and retainer (14) on housing (16) .

  1. Install two screws (17) and plunger (10) on housing (16) .

    Note: Housing (18) is assembled in the same manner as housing (16). Except, housing (18) has two springs. Perform steps 7 through 8 in order to assemble housing (18) .

    Note: When you install the housings on the control valve body, housing (6) must be aligned so that piston (7) fits in the groove of stem (5) .

  1. Position housings (18), (6), and (16) in the original location on the control valve body. Install two bolts (19) and the nuts on both ends of the valve body.

  1. Install spool (23) in the original location on the valve body.

  1. Install pin (26) in screw (29) .

  1. Install plug (25), nut (28), and screw (29) on housing (24). Tighten nut (28) to a torque of 35 ± 6 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft).

  1. Install nut (27) on housing (24). Tighten nut (27) to a torque of 20 ± 6 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft).

  1. Install O-ring seal (29) on seat (30). Install O-ring seal (35) on housing (24) .

    Note: Spacers and shims (34) must be positioned so that the two spacers are on the outside of the shims. One of the spacers must contact spring (33) .

  1. Install spacers and shims (34) on housing (24). Install spring (33), retainers (32), and valve (31) on housing (24) .

    Note: To compensate for spring pressure, use longer bolts 1D-4585 to position housing (24) on the valve body. After positioning housing (24) on the valve body, replace the longer bolts with the original bolts.

  1. Position spring (28), seat (30) and housing (24) in the original location on the valve body. Install two bolts (36) .

  1. Install spool (37) in the original location on the valve body.

  1. Install O-ring seal (42) on both housings (38) .

  1. Install retainer (39), spring (40), washer (41), and housing (38) on both sides of the valve body.

  1. Install pin (46) in screw (48) .

  1. Install plug (45), nut (47), and screw (48) on housing (44). Tighten nut (47) to a torque of 35 ± 6 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft).

    Note: Spacers and shims (52) must be positioned so that the two spacers are on the outside of the shims. One of the spacers must contact spring (51).

  1. Install spacers and shims (52) on housing (44). Install spring (51), retainers (50), and valve (49) on housing (44) .

  1. Install nut (53) on housing (44). Tighten nut (53) to a torque of 20 ± 6 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft).

  1. Install spool (54) in the original location in the valve body.

  1. Position spring (55), seat (56) and housing (44) in the original location on the valve body. Install two bolts (57) .

  1. Position valve (60), spring (59) and plug (58) in the original location on the valve body.

  1. Install plug (64), spring (63) and plug (61) in the original location on the valve body.

  1. Position cover (66) in the original location on the valve body. Install two bolts (65) .

End By: Install the bulldozer control valve.
