The 142-2882 Flow Control Valves May Cause Vibration And Noise In Transmission Hoses

Usage:

WHEEL LOADERS

INTEGRATED TOOLCARRIERS

924F (5NN, 6MN, 4YN, 7PN),
928G (6XR, 7SR) WHEEL LOADERS, IT24F (4NN, 6KN),
IT28G (8CR, 9AR) INTEGRATED TOOLCARRIERS

Problem:

The 9W-7189 Flow Control Valve was replaced by 142-2882 Flow Control Valve. This change could lead to vibration and noise in the transmission hoses due to unstable transmission pressures.

Failures of the 7T-8797 Spacer and/or the 8J-2283 Snap Ring used in modulating the relief valve of the transmission hydraulic control valve may also occur due to impact loads against the spacer.

Solution:

If a machine exhibits any of these conditions, perform the following:

1. Remove the 142-2882 Flow Control Valve.
2. Install a new 9W-7189 Flow Control Valve.
