Problem:
The 8C-3663 Engine Shutdown Solenoid has contacts that are failing when the starter is energinzed for too long, or when the starter solenoid sticks.
Solution:
The 155-4652 Engine Shutdown Solenoid has an improved contact arrangement that prevents overloading and subsequent failure.
NOTE: During a CAT Business TV for Track Type Loaders broadcast on November 18, 1998, the wrong part number for the improved engine shutdown solenoid was provided. The number that should have been provided is 155-4652, NOT 155-4653. Please make a copy of this bulletin and attach it to the notes provided for the broadcast.
