New Aftercooler Core has Improved Design To Prevent Vibration Damage Which Lets Coolant Into Engine Air Inlet{1064}

Usage:

3412 Industrial And Marine Engines

Description of Change: A new core assembly is used in aftercooler groups for 3412 Industrial and Marine Engines. The new core has an improved design to prevent movement of the tubes and fins inside the assembly. Formerly, normal vibration during engine operation caused enough movement to wear through the two tubes at the bottom corners of the core. The result was leakage of coolant into the engine air inlet, and possible damage to the engine.

Adaptable As: The new 1W2501 Aftercooler Core Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 6N2601 Aftercooler Core Assembly, which is canceled. The new core assembly is in effect on 3412 Industrial Engines 38S7785-Up, and 3412 Marine Engines 60M1443-Up.
