Special Studs And Nuts Available For Exhaust Manifolds On Engines Used In Heavy Load Conditions{1059,1101}

Usage:

3304, 3306 Industrial and Vehicular Engines;
3306 Truck Engines

Special high-temperature taperlock studs and stainless steel nuts are available for the exhaust manifolds on 3304 and 3306 Engines used in heavy load conditions where manifold temperatures are very high. These high-temperature conditions can cause erosion (gradual removal) of the standard stud material, which makes the studs weaker. After a period of time, this can cause broken studs. The special high-temperature studs and stainless steel nuts will give longer service life on engines operated under these conditions.

The chart shows a list of the special and standard taperlock studs, and the length of each stud. Each of the special studs can be used as a direct replacement for the respective standard stud. With the special high-temperature studs, use the new 2N2766 Locknuts (stainless steel) in place of the standard 1B5355 Nuts.
