6V3143 Distorter Adapter Available For Use With 5P7409 Wear Sleeve Distorter For Removal Of Crankshaft Wear Sleeves{0621,1202,1160,1161}

Usage:

All 3512 Engines

A 6V3143 Distorter Adapter (see the illustration) is available for use with the 5P7409 Wear Sleeve Distorter. These tools are used for removal of the crankshaft wear sleeves on all 3512 Engines

A roll pin is press fitted into the body of the adapter. This pin is used as a handle. The roll pin also permits the adapter to be held in position around the housing which fits around the seal adapter bore. The extended end of the roll pin is installed in a tapped hole in the housing.

The design of the tool permits it to be used in four locations around the crankshaft wear sleeve. The sleeve can be crimped two or three times at each location for easy removal. If a wear sleeve is difficult to remove, the location of the roll pin can be changed; then the distorter adapter can be used in as many locations as necessary.
