Start By:

  1. Remove the wheel saw drum. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Wheel Saw Drum - Remove and Install".


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (1) .

  1. Remove grease fitting (2) .

  1. Use Tooling (B) with pressure air at 310 kPa (45 psi) in order to remove cover assembly (3). Remove the O-ring seal from cover assembly (3) .

  1. Use Tooling (C) to remove retaining ring (4) .

  1. Remove spacer (5) .

  1. Remove housing assembly (6) .

  1. Use Tooling (D) and a press in order to remove bearing (7). Remove shaft seal (8) .

Note: Inspect all O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

  1. Install shaft seal (8) in housing assembly (6) .

  1. Use Tooling (D) and a press to install bearing (7) in housing assembly (6) .

  1. Install spacer (5) in housing assembly (6) .

  1. Use Tooling (C) to install retaining ring (4) .

  1. Install the O-ring seal on cover (3). Install cover (3) in housing assembly (6) .

  1. Use Tooling (A) to install retaining ring (1) .

  1. Install grease fitting (2) .

End By: Install the wheel saw drum. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Wheel Saw Drum - Remove and Install".
