Fan Drive

Usage:

Remove Fan Drive

start by:

a) remove fan belts

1. Remove four bolts (1) that hold fan assembly (2) to fan drive, and place the fan assembly in radiator shroud.

2. Loosen screw (3) and remove three nuts (5) and washers.

3. Remove fan drive (4) from studs.

Install Fan Drive

1. Put the fan drive (1) in position on studs and install three nuts and washers.

2. Put the fan assembly (2) in position on fan drive (1) and install four bolts.

3. Tighten screw so fan will turn in radiator shroud with no interference.

a) install fan belts

Disassemble Fan Drive

start by:

a) remove fan drive

1. Remove the two bolts (1), lock, and washer (2) from end of shaft.

2. Use tool (A) to remove pulley (3) from shaft.

3. Remove outer bearing and spacer from pulley.

4. Remove snap ring (4) from pulley.

5. Use tooling (B) to remove inner bearing and seal from the pulley.

Assemble Fan Drive

1. Use tooling (A) to install inner bearing and seal. Install seal with lip of seal away from the bearing.

2. Install pulley (2) on the shaft.

3. Install snap ring (1) in the pulley.

4. Install the spacer.

5. Install the bearing (3).

6. Install the washer, lock, and two bolts that hold bearings on shaft.
