Generator Removal
Usage:
Remove Generator From Engine
1. Remove the cover (1) and screen (2) from the generator.
2. Install blocks on brackets (4) or under flywheel housing as a support for rear of engine.
3. Remove the bolts (5) and locks that hold plates to flywheel.
4. Remove bolts (3) that hold generator to flywheel housing.
5. Install a 1"-8 NC forged eyebolt in generator. Install cable or lifting strap around end of generator. Fasten a hoist.
6. Remove bolts (6) from each side of generator.
7. Move the generator slowly away from engine. Weight of generator is approximately 2500 lb. (1134 kg).
