D342 INDUSTRIAL ENGINE ATTACHMENTS Caterpillar

1. Fasten a hoist to the engine and generator.

2. Disconnect the fuel lines (2).

3. Remove bolts (1) that hold engine front support to fuel tank.

4. Remove bolts (3) that hold generator to fuel tank.

5. Lift the engine and generator away from fuel tank. Engine and generator weight is approximately 8500 lb. (3856 kg). Weight of empty fuel tank is 900 lb. (408 kg).

Install Fuel Tank

1. Fasten a hoist to engine and generator.

2. Put the fuel tank in position under engine and generator.

3. Install bolts (1) that hold generator to fuel tank.

4. Install bolts (4) that hold engine front support to fuel tank.

5. Connect fuel lines (2) and (3).
